Sunday afternoon I had the pleasure of going to a beautiful wedding shower!  This picture is of me and my wonderful friend Sara.  Her wedding is coming up in two weeks and I couldn't be more excited.

Sara is my survivor.  She had a stroke back in January of this year, and not knowing you wouldn't even notice now.

Sara is the beautiful tall one in the picture.

I love you Sara, and I can't wait to see you tie the knot!!

Well, it finally arrived!  This past Saturday EK Success hosted the second annual Craft Gossip Fork and Talk lunch!!  You may remember me posting about this a few days ago, and I had shared photos from the last one!  I had such an amazing time and I wanted to tell you about it!!  Thanks to the Flikr account that was set up, my photos are from other amazing photographers :)

Of course, first things first.  We all went around and introduced ourselves.  We talked about what blog we have and what we craft about.  Here I am sharing some pretty exciting news with my crafty friends (official announcement coming soon)!  Also, you may notice, that I got to sit next to my good friend Leslie who I met at the last lunch!  She and I have kept in touch since then and have even done a swap together!

My iPhone came in handy as well during the lunch.  One of the crafters, Ms Jeanne, was at home sick in bed with pneumonia and couldn't make it to lunch.  Instead of leaving her out of the fun, we Skyped her!!  One of the editors had brought a laptop to Skype with, but it would only show video of her, not video of all of us!  Well, I just happen to have Skype on my phone so we decided to try it out!  Well, we couldn't see her, but at least she could see all of us!!  It was so fun to be able to include her!

While we didn't play as many fun games as the last time, we still split up as tables to compete for some prizes.  The game this year was to decorate the editor that was sitting at your table!  Scarlett was our editor, and she looked pretty spiffy after our makeover!  No Fork and Talk Craft Gossip editor is complete without some FORK earrings!  I think that's what made our table WIN!! Wahoo!!  I was not on the winning team last year, so I was a proud member this time!

After all the fund and games and lunch of course, we finally got to grab our goodie bags!  Ms Denise told us that the items inside had a retail value of $253!!!  EK Success sure does know how to spoil some crafters!! Looking through these bags was really like Christmas morning!!

The individual craft that we got to do was an embroidery project.  We got a kit that you embroidered your very own coffee cup cozy and coaster!  Let me tell you right now, I am not very good at embroidery.  Just look at the concentration on my face while trying to read those directions!!  Luckily EK Success makes those kits so easy to follow and in no time I was stitching away!!  Unfortunately I had to scoot on over to work and didn't finish this project in one sitting.  I do have high hopes in finishing and will post a picture when I do!

I had such an amazing time!  Thank you so much to EK Success, Trios Restaurant, and Craftgossip.com!!  And of course to the amazing editors for hosting, Denise, Scarlett, Anne, and Stacie!  I hope to see you all very soon.  Lets make this get together bi-annual!!!

And emotional lows. That's how my past week has been. I have hit the lowest of the lows and the highest of the highs. My emotions are on a serious roller coaster and it's getting hard to hold on.

Big changes are coming for me, and it's been pretty hard to grasp on to. I have had a lot of nervous energy that I've had to release. Unfortunately I have a tendency to make my nervous energy in to a bad mood. The victims of tonights bad mood were my poor husband and my two dogs. Poor Cruz even got his crate banished to the far corner of his room so he has to be alone.

I'm so mean. I actually disappoint myself in how I act.

Well, after I was mean to the pups and sadly my husband, they all wanted to go to sleep just to get away from my wrath. So I came out to the living room so the steam could leave my ears freely. I decided to put my energy to use.

Tomorrow (well actually today, since it's 12:12 am) is the Little Rock blogger meet up hosted my craftgossip.com! The only thing we were asked to bring is business cards for the other 24 people at the meet up. I procrastinated finishing mine until today, so I used my energy to complete the project.

Hope everyone likes them! I will be posting about the lunch some time Sunday or Monday! It will be a blast just like the last one and I can't wait!!

My very first award!!!
This week Leslie from Leslies Art And Sew gave me the Liebster Blog Award, and I am so honored!!

I hadn't heard of this before, but it is a way for bloggers to help draw attention to other small blogs with fewer viewers.  Seeing how I have.....18.....I think I fit!!  I am always trying to come up with new ways to get my blog out there, so this is so wonderful!!

There are a few things I am obligated to do by accepting this award:
1.  Thank the person who have you the award.
2.  Link back to their blog.3.  Copy and paste the Liebster award to your profile.4.  Pick 5 blogs that you feel deserve to be in the spotlight (they must have 200 followers or under).5.  Blog about it and leave a comment for your nominations to let them know that you have chosen their blog.

Here are my nominations!

1.  Sara at Sans Limites Crochet - I am totally inspired by Sara.  We are from the same town in Colorado, we both love to dance, and share the love of yarn and hooks!

2.  Meara at Meara Meara Off The Wall - This lovely lady is a Nurse, a Navy wife, and most recently a Momma!  She lived down the hall from me freshman year of college, and I love keeping up with her blog.  She does some pretty creative stuff too when shes not busy loving on Princess Paige!

3.  Jennifer at Bella Kates - I love all of the projects she does and I always look forward to reading her blog!

4.  Megan at Edgehill Pointers - We got our youngest pup, Cruz, from these folks, and I love keeping up with whats going on!  Not really about crafts, but breeding beautiful amazing pointers is pretty impressive!!

5.  The Ladies at Hello Ladies - I met Mandy at last years Craft Gossip Fork and talk, and have been following their blog since!  Right now they are doing fun projects for a new baby!

I hope you go check out their blogs!!

Thanks again, Leslie, for this wonderful award!!
Well, I learned a valuable lesson the other day.  The dogs cannot be trusted around freshly planted anything.  They are too curious and have this horrible habit of digging.  No matter how many times I scold them or squirt them with the water hose, the inevitable will occur.

I had great intentions for planting this year.  We are just getting established in our home that we bought last summer.  In an attempt to eat healthy, we wanted to try growing our own herbs!

I planted cilantro, green onion, chives, and sweet basil from seeds.  I was so proud of myself!!  I also planted a cute little green pepper plant.

Adorable, right??

Okay, well like I said before I tried so hard to keep Macy and Cruz away from them.  The plants needed full sun and the back yard is the only place that happens around here, so I was desperate to keep them away!  Well, it seemed like every time they went outside the first thing they did was run to the green pepper plant and grab a leaf.  So we moved the plant to the front yard, thinking the other pot was okay.  The people at the nursery told me that dogs don't like herbs because they don't taste very good to them.  So I left it there.

And then I found this.

Oh well!!  No herbs for us this year.  I will try again when they learn their manners.

Check out my new additions to the dining room!!  Found them on sale at Pier 1!  A great reminder of what do do in the dining room.....EAT!! We need that reminder because currently the table is covered in craft stuff, bills that need to be paid, and the laptop I'm writing this from!  Enjoy looking at them, I know I do!

Happy Easter!!

Last September Craft Gossip held its first ever blogger meet up here in Little Rock, Arkansas!  This is a company that is based out of Australia, but it just so happens that four of the editors are from right around here!  I was honored to be invited to the luncheon that happened at Trio's.  I had such a wonderful time, and got away with a huge bag of goodies from EK Success!  Here are some highlights from the event.

Andi and I working on our teams hat during the hat challenge.
Baggie stuffed full of goodies from EK Success...we got another whole bag too!
We got lots of stickers....here are some of my favorites!

The whole group together at the end!
The reason that I'm posting this recap is because I just got invited to attend their next luncheon coming up this month!!  I am so excited about this because I met so many great women, some of which I keep in touch with!!  One of the ladies that I keep in touch with is Miss Leslie (http://lesliesartandsew.blogspot.com/).  She is the one that got me in to craftster.org and doing craft swaps!

I can't wait to tell you all about it!!!

I will be posting a few craft posts soon, I promise.  I have been crafting gifts but don't want to show pictures until they get to their new homes!  I have two packages going out in the post tomorrow, so I will be blogging about them soon!!!

In other news....I really want to be a part of the Arkansas Womens Bloggers! What a cool way to get my name out there.  However, I have applied, emailed, all with no response!! So if you see this, AWB's....pick me!!!!
